192: Ray Smith

Medical Director of Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine 

Dr. Raymond Smith, Medical Director of Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine at Tower Health, explained that they increased the intensity of protection for staff and patients. The Wound Center treated patients who were Covid positive as well as those who did not have covid.

Dr. Smith is proud of his staff for all they do. Wound care needed to continue regardless of the pandemic and he feels his staff did a very good job. 

He feels the staff was very careful and very conscientious. 

Dr. Smith was grateful that Covid-19 did not affect his family directly. He does not feel covid has changed him at all. He feels he has developed “layers of psychological protection that helped him cope with the pandemic.” 

Dr. Smith enjoys interacting with patients and says that encounters with patients kept him going. He is grateful for vaccines, especially for a great grandchild who has an upcoming heart surgery. 

His wish for the future is that our country stays free.
