Beauty Salon Coordinator

Amalitsa Carpio is a beauty salon coordinator who organizes all activity in the beauty salon. The beauty industry changed dramatically due to covid. Once the salon was allowed to open, stations were set up  6 feet away from one another. Capes and towels were changed after each patient. Masks were always worn. 

Amalitsa’s mom opened the salon during Covid-19. Restrictions were respected and held. When clients were allowed to come into the shop, people were very appreciative of the care from the salon. People came in with “covid hair” and felt much better after leaving.

She felt it was very impactful to comfort clients. Fortunately, no one she knew became ill with covid.
