For 21 years, Oscar Roman Baque’ has worked for Quaker Maid Meats.  

His hard work and diligence for safety measures made it possible for Berks countians to have meat on the table.

He is a supervisor responsible for things running smoothly and safely. He is responsible for maintaining safety protocols at Quaker Meats such as hand washing, wearing gloves, and regular cleaning of equipment. 

Oscar explained that during the shut down, his son missed going to school. He wasn’t fond of remote learning. To destress, Oscar likes to fish. Being in nature helps him relax. 

He feels he respects life even more since the pandemic. He feels it has taught him how fragile life really is. His wish is for everything to be normal again and he looks forward to being with his friends more often.
