90: Jay Rosenson

Chairman, Firestone Rubber & Tire

Jay is now retired from his official position at Firestone and is residing at The Highlands Retirement Community. He has spent much of his time establishing numerous grants for businesses. Most go through the Berks County Community Foundation.

At The Highlands he funded a program, as well as selected and purchased, much of the maintenance equipment that is used to care for the property. When COVID hit he additionally began and personally funded a program that acquired much needed PPE for the all employees of The Highlands.

His philanthropic work has been ongoing for years. He has aided to 30 companies or more, such as The Police Canine Unit, various Food Banks, The Humane Society, The Bee Program at Rodale and many others

He has spent his retirement years giving back to so many and continued doing so through the pandemic. His hope is to see this country recover fully from the effects of COVID.
