Advisor, Prospectus Berco

Prospectus Berco is a nonprofit organization that supports adults with special needs. As a residential advisor, he goes into individual’s homes, often group homes, to offer various types of support and guidance. 

During covid, the Prospectus day program was closed. This was a big challenge for many of the clients. With full PPE, Masjid was able to do visitation in the homes of clients. During the pandemic, his primary goal was to educate clients to be as safe as possible and to provide activities in the home to help clients alleviate boredom and isolation. He often offered reassurance to residents who felt anxious and he offered company to some residents who were quarantined .

Masjid’s wish for the future is that we all get vaccinated.
