Sue Ruotolo, a RAWA administrator, explains that as many people as possible were allowed to work virtually to service our customers. At first, the transitional working virtually was challenging but people adapted and did well with the change.

Many people in the city of Reading have lost their jobs during the pandemic and often water bills could not be paid. Sue explained that RAWA has a hardship program to help those in need. No one had water turned off during the pandemic.

Sue did get covid but, fortunately, had a mild case. Sadly, she did lose a family member to covid. She and her family are very grateful for the vaccines she and her family received. She is encouraging others to get vaccinated as well. She is very grateful to be together with her family members.
