Berks Community Health Center worker Guadalupe Flores acts as a resource for families in need. Her job duties and she is presently stationed in Oakbrook. She helps distribute food for Helping Harvest and also volunteers at covid vaccine clinics.

She has known many people who had covid and had covid herself. On a personal note, she found it was very difficult to not be able to visit her grandfather.

During the pandemic, she was aware that there was an increase in the need for food and services. Although there were donations, they would not be able to fully meet the need.

Her experiences during covid inspires her to want to be even more of a resource for people in need. She feels she no longer takes life for granted and has a particular appreciation for nature and the change of the seasons. Her hope is that there is even more collaboration in the community to help those in need.
