41: Erin Churico

Nurse Practitioner

Primary Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner provides care for children ages newborn through 22 years old. Initially during the covid, face to face patient visits were limited and many visits were conducted virtually. 

All safety protocols were strictly employed. For a time, her staff even practiced in different offices to spread out from one another. Their vigilance helped the staff stay healthy through the pandemic.

Additionally, Erin worked at a local nursing home and now volunteers at covid clinics on weekends. She finds this very rewarding and is especially moved by how grateful people are to receive the vaccine. 

She is very proud of working for Berks Community Health Center and the work they do.  Her hope is that people continue to appreciate essential workers. She is very grateful that people are getting vaccinated and she hopes they continue to do so.
