70: Mike Carl

Filter Plant, Reading Area Water Authority

Together with three others on his team, Michael Carl has 50 stations to maintain including all maintenance of filters, chlorine, and water systems. He particularly enjoys mentoring younger workers on his team.

He continued to work through the pandemic. As a Vietnam Vet who has experience working in dire circumstances, he felt he could handle the stress of working through this pandemic. His wife works in a lab at St Joe’s hospital and she encouraged him to be consistent with his use of PPE. He feels that PPE has protected him quite well.
