Patrick Brady is Senior IT Support specialist at the CPA firm Herbein + Company.

As an IT Support specialist, his work during the pandemic was critical. He supported 200+ employees at Herbein in their transition to working in the office to working from home for an unknown time frame. He led the local accounting industry in multiple educational webinars and collaborated with other Berks county companies to stay informed on tax law changes, PPP loan changes, and other government funding changes that were created to help individuals and small businesses through the financial strain of the pandemic. His philosophy is one of “We can do this together!”

As many others who made the transition to working from home, balancing family while supporting many others at work was a challenge. Patrick welcomed this challenge and was able to take the opportunity to be home to spend that time with his wife and sons. He was able to maintain family dinner time and even enjoyed time cooking with his son Colton.

In addition to being a dedicated employee of Herbein and an active father and husband, Patrick helped his wife Heather with their company “Do It Local,” which created family meal popups to help locally owned restaurants stay afloat during a time when they needed it most.

Patrick sums up life during the pandemic in this way: “Covid 19 threw us constant changes and new challenges which was hard, but, in the end, we were in it together and it was an honor to help and do my part.”
